Welcome to the United COOP 2000

Community Brass Band Section.

The Community Band was formed in January 2007 with the first rehearsal having 15 players around the stand. The Community Band rehearses at the Camm Street Gym, Crewe every Monday evening starting at 7pm until 8.30pm. We have players of all ages and abilities. Instruments can also be provided.

Rehearsals are always challenging, light hearted and always well attended.

The Community Band has taken various forms in the past from being a very successful contesting youth band to what it is today. The most recent change being back in January when the new musical director Rob Stevenson agreed to take this position within the band.

Rob has had a long association with the United COOP 2000 Band, also known as he started his banding career with the then called 'Normid 2000 Youth Band'. Rob then went on to play for the Audley Band, United COOP (Crewe) Band and also the Young Ambassadors Brass Band of Great Britain.

17-May-2008 - Whit Friday Marches
The Community band took part in their first ever Whit Friday March contest. They decided to go round the Tameside area, taking part in 6 contests. The band had an enjoyable experience and are looking forward to next year. Results are due to be published on Tuesday.

Next Concert :

01 - 06 - 2008 - Nantwich
Community band to play in a concert just outside of Nantwich. Concert starts at 4:30.
